bio: Playgroup is the brainchild of producer Trevor Jackson, with years of experience and creative nous, Trevor, under his various guises has become the ?remixer to the stars?. Trevor Jackson began his journey in music back in the early days, by designing classic & instantly identifiable record sleeves for the likes of Raze, Todd Terry, The Jungle Brothers, Eric B & Rakim as well as a host of lesser lights. Then came his trademark cover designs for the Stereo MCs, the distinctive logo and cover art for techno label, Network, and the first S-Express single. In 1996 he decided to start his own label Output. Free of any preconceptions or expectations and now able to release any genre of music he wishes, Trevor felt inspired again. The label has released over 40 titles to date. Kieran Hebden's Fridge and Fourtet projects both began on Output, Electro duo 7-Hurtz and New wave pop siblings Sonovac, Paris Nu-wave Goth's Black Strobe, prolific Atom Heart's LB project, and the gentle electro-acoustic melodies of Boy Lucas have all released outstanding eclectic records on the label, which equally excite and intrigue as they do confuse and perplex. Despite Trevor?s many creative commitments, he has successfully carved himself out a niche, as one of the most sort-after remixers around. In Playgroup ?Reproduction?, Trevor shares his finest remix moments, with 16 tracks from some of club lands most recognisable names reinterpreted into house anthems. Full to the brim with his trademark fat production, driving basslines, gritty hats and rough guitar licks, Trevor Jackson hits a dance floor formula, that is at once accessible, unique and deeply underground.
