bio: Mu is renowned US-house producer Maurice Fulton and his wife Matsumi. Little is known about the mysterious duo, other than that he's from Baltimore, she's from a little Japanese village. And that somehow she found her way to Sheffield and went to the legendary Electric Chair Night in Manchester, where Maurice was in from the US playing. They met and fell in love, he moved to Sheffield, where they are both now based, and the rest as they say is history. The debut full-length offering from Mu, ?Afro Finger And Gel?, featuring the killer single ?Lets Get Sick?? and ?Chair Girl?? is a grand collection of punked up, spliffed out madness, that looks set to punctuate dancefloors worldwide, with its unique blend of demented disco savvy and sheer bloody addictiveness. Here you have 10 tracks of fun, intrigue and many other surprises wrapped up neatly into one of the most imaginative debuts you?ve heard in ages. Since the release of their album in September 2003, Mu and Maurice have been playing a steady stream of live dates, including support slots for The Rapture and Liquid Liquid, and appearances at Trash, Fabric?s 4th birthday and the Transmusicales Festival in Rennes.
