bio: Big Sur Recordings is a new Ishtar label, famous for its Schema Records. And Big Sur widens the boundaries of Schema’s jazz sound making it its driving force, its starting point, naturally evolving into funk, afro rhythms and house, which are at the same time the end of the journey and a new beginning, made of eclecticism and spirituality, mental and physical movement, rhythmic emotion. Big Sur was founded in 2003 from an idea of Stefano Ghittoni’s (The Dining Rooms, Vuca) and it will produce quality dance music.
